Scottish Ball (New York) Scottish Dancing in New York!
The Scottish Ball was started over 25 years ago by a group of Scots residing in New York who were looking for opportunities to dance Scottish country reels and to offer their American friends an evening of Scottish music and fun. It was usually held once a year at the Abigail Adams Smith Museum. In more recent years, there have been various locations, including the Ballroom of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society and now the Synod House at St. John the Divine. Music is provided by Abby Newton and her Celtic Crossing Band in addition to the piper, Larry Cole. The guests feast upon delicious Scottish spreads provided by the Good Cateress (as well as a wee dram or two!)

Youth Orchestras
National Youth Orchestra of Scotland The National Youth Orchestras of Scotland (NYOS) provides outstanding orchestral and instrumental opportunities for young musicians in Scotland. Running seven national youth ensembles NYOS organises training, intensive rehearsals and national and international concert tours.
