The Scottish Ball was started over 25 years ago by a group of Scots residing in New York who were looking for opportunities to dance Scottish country reels and to offer their American friends an evening of Scottish music and fun. In more recent years, there have been various locations, including the Ballroom of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society and now the Synod House at St. John the Divine.
